War, what is it good for? Absolutely nothing. Say it againโ€ฆ

I just remembered this tune from 1970, released in the middle of the Vietnam war. The people of this planet want life, not death. They want to wake in the morning without fear of being persecuted by a dictator, a foreign power, or an enslaving and mean employer who exploits them.

We know that war is good for one thing: it is a business model for the industries and companies that profit from war. There is money to be made, and the human lives that are the โ€œconsumablesโ€ of this industry do not matter. In fact, they are freely given up by the powers (governments) that send military to their deaths and call civilian casualties โ€œcollateral damage.โ€ War is good for one thing: to enrich corporate elites and oligarchs worldwide.
